Local Procedures at the Orphans' Court
All filers are encouraged to e-file via the online portal. Only emergency Orphans Court petitions are accepted over the counter. Walk-ins are accommodated for in-person probates. No appointments/walk-ins after 3:30 PM. For e-filed probates, oaths and renunciations can be electronically signed during a scheduled Webex video appointment (video capability required; no phone call-in). The original will, original death certificate, and estate information sheet must be mailed to the office, and the Webex is not scheduled until the originals are received.
