Local Procedures at the Surrogate's Court
Certificates upon probate of a will cannot be issued until at least 11 days after the date of death. Minimum probate fee is $100 (two-page will, one certificate), plus $5 per additional certificate. The 71 Hamilton Street entrance is closed. All visitors must enter through 77 Hamilton Street.
