Under K.S.A. 59-1507b a Small Estate Affidavit may be used for small estates under $75,000; the Probate Department notes this affidavit does not get filed with the Clerk of the District Court. The Probate Department is on the 1st floor of the Wyandotte County District Courthouse and is open Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, closed for lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
