Local Procedures at the Superior Court
The Superior Court schedules probate hearings Probate and Law & Motion calendars are held the second and fourth Tuesday at 1:30 PM; ex parte and emergency matters are heard at the opening of court each day.
Under Local Rule 98.04(C), an original probate application may be presented by mail: include all required documents bearing original signatures, a cover letter asking the Clerk to deliver them to a judge or commissioner for signature, and a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of conformed copies. Uncontested probate matters with no required notice may be handled ex parte (LR 98.04(A)). Court requires all hearings to be held remotely via Zoom unless specifically required to be in-person.
