  1. Search ctbiglist.gov for the deceased's name and prior addresses, and run a multi-state search at missingmoney.com.
  2. Download the claim form and file as the estate representative or heir with:
    • The deceased owner's death certificate
    • Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration if the estate was probated
    • A notarized claim form, photo identification, and proof of ownership
  3. Mail the completed claim to the Office of the State Treasurer, Unclaimed Property Division, PO Box 5065, Hartford, CT 06102.
  4. The Treasurer reviews the documentation and pays the claim once ownership and authority are established (Conn. Gen. Stat. 3-74).
