Local Procedures at the District Court
The District Court schedules probate hearings District Traffic & Criminal: first three Thursdays at 9:00 AM. District Jury Trials: fourth Thursday. District Civil & Small Claims: second Monday at 1:30 PM. Circuit Civil: first & third Friday at 9:00 AM. Circuit Criminal: first & third Friday at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Probate: submitted for review; if notice required, second Monday at 1:30 PM.
Clerk's office closes 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM every day for lunch. Personal checks (with valid ID) accepted for general payments. Bond payments and restitution payments may not be made by personal check; use cash, cashier's check, certified check, or money order for those obligations.
