Call the DUA Call Center at 877-626-6800 to report the death and ask about a final payment. DUA will identify what documentation is needed — typically the death certificate and evidence of the claimant's unemployment and availability for work in the weeks before death. Under federal UI guidance (DOL UIPL 29-91), the authorized legal representative — executor, administrator, or court-appointed representative — may receive any weeks of benefits the claimant had earned before death.
