Visit the agency website →The Oregon State Treasury holds unclaimed property and runs the search and claim portal at unclaimed.oregon.gov. The program moved to the State Treasury from the Department of State Lands.
Search unclaimed.oregon.gov, then file a claim with a death certificate (or date of death) and documents establishing your legal right to the assets. For property over $10,000, full probate documentation (Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration) is required. For property from $1,000 to $10,000, an Affidavit in Lieu of Probate may be submitted instead of full probate. Claims over $2,500 require a notarized signature (OAR 170-140-0100 and 170-140-0105).
Oregon holds reported unclaimed property under ORS Chapter 98 until it is claimed by the owner or their heirs. Confirm any time limit that applies to a deceased owner's property with the State Treasury before filing.
