- Closing the account
Under the Rewards Program Terms, all Amazon Flex Rewards points and rewards are forfeited immediately if participation in Amazon Flex is terminated.1
With the death certificate and the email or phone number on the account, Amazon can still help terminate subscriptions, stop recurring deliveries and deactivate the account.2
- Verifying the requester
Amazon shares account details or takes most account actions only when the request comes from the authorized estate manager; requests for account information or other account changes need the full set of documents.2
- Deletion and data retention
Amazon securely deletes all documents after validation.2
- Balances, payouts and refunds
Earnings from blocks completed Sunday through Thursday are paid on the next chosen payment day, Friday and Saturday blocks on Monday or the next chosen payment day, and tip-eligible blocks 2-3 days after completion; a bank holiday may delay payment to the next business day.3
Delivery partners on Instant Pay are paid to the Amazon Flex Debit Card shortly after a block, with tip-eligible blocks paid 27 hours after completion, so a recent week of deliveries may include earnings not yet paid out.3, 4
Amazon is not a party to the Amazon Flex Debit Card's deposit account agreement. If Green Dot Bank has any question about ownership of the funds at an accountholder's death, it may freeze all or part of the account pending proof of each person's right to the funds.5
