What to do
- •On the web, open Account Settings > Account Info > Your Credit for the HelloFresh Cash balance; in the app, open Profile > Personal info.
- •Find HelloFresh Rewards points in the Profile tab of the app or the top navigation bar of the website.
- •Skip the next box from the My Menu page to stop it while keeping the credit balance.
- •Cancel the plan at hellofresh.com/cancellation or under Account Settings > Plan settings > Manage.
- •Email hello@hellofresh.com, if no one can sign in, with the account holder's full name and registered email address, asking to terminate the subscription.
Required Documents
- The account holder's full name and the email address registered on the account: The two items Section 10.3 of the Terms of Use names for a written cancellation request.
- Payment card or billing statement showing the recurring HelloFresh charge: Confirms which card is being billed, so the estate can check that the charges stop.
- Proof of authority to act for the deceased: if asking Customer Care for anything beyond cancellation. Letters testamentary, executor papers or family relationship documentation.
- Death certificate: if Customer Care requests it for account closure or for a discretionary request about the remaining balance. Customer Care sets the document requirements.

- Balances, payouts and refunds
Where HelloFresh issues a refund, it goes back to the original form of payment within five to ten business days.2
HelloFresh Cash can only be used on the holder's own account and cannot be redeemed for cash or otherwise claimed; customer top-ups are capped at $400.00.1

A remaining gift-card balance stays in the recipient's account and does not expire. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be reloaded, resold, redeemed for cash except as required by law, or transferred to another HelloFresh account.3

The subscription bills recurring weekly charges that auto-renew until the plan is cancelled or each week is skipped, so an unmanaged account keeps charging the decedent's payment card.1
Cancelling or skipping stops a box only if done before the rolling cutoff of 11:59 PM PT five days before the scheduled delivery; a box past its cutoff still ships and bills, and the holder remains responsible for charges on already-processed orders.1
Skipping deliveries keeps credits in the account, while cancelling removes most of them.2
- Closing the account
HelloFresh reserves the right to expire and withdraw HelloFresh Cash issued as promotions, discounts or compensation when the account is cancelled. Credits from gift cards and payments the holder made are carved out of that provision.1
Section 10.3 of the Terms of Use lets a subscriber cancel by contacting Customer Care through the contact page or by email, stating the wish to terminate the subscription along with the full name and registered email address.1
Most credits, including referral bonuses, promotional offers and Customer Care compensation, are only available while the account is active and are removed when the subscription is cancelled. The cancellation flow shows the HelloFresh Cash that will be lost before it completes.2
- Deletion and data retention
Section 26.4 of the Terms of Use states that terminating the service may involve deleting the account's content from HelloFresh's live databases.1
- Inactive accounts and expiry
HelloFresh Rewards points expire on cancellation of the subscription or after twelve months of inactivity. Unlocked reward vouchers sit in the account Wallet and typically stay valid for about six weeks.2
