“You may not assign, transfer or sublicense without the prior written consent of Vercel, but Vercel may assign or transfer this Agreement, in whole or in part, without restriction. Any attempted assignment or transfer of this Agreement by the parties in contravention of the foregoing shall be null and void.”1

- Deletion and data retention
The Terms state that "All of Your Content on the Services (if any) may be permanently deleted by Vercel upon any termination of your account."1
Deleting an account is permanent and cannot be undone; all its projects and deployments are deleted. Subscriptions must be cancelled, custom domains removed and sole-Owner teams transferred or deleted first.2
Before a team is deleted, its projects and domains are removed or moved to a Hobby account, and its invoices can be downloaded; team members, activity and usage are removed and cannot be transferred.3
- Inactive accounts and expiry
The Terms reserve Vercel's right to terminate accounts that are inactive for an extended period of time; they set no period.1
Under the Terms, Vercel may shut down and terminate projects or deployments on the Hobby plan without notice for any reason or no reason.1
- Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. An account is terminated, or a Pro account downgraded to Hobby, by a cancellation request to Vercel Support through the Help page, effective at the next renewal period.1
A team can downgrade to Hobby to stop payment instead of being deleted.4
- Domain renewal and expiry
Vercel sends renewal reminders at least 60 and 30 days before a domain expires. An unrenewed registration expires, and the registrar may then hold it, delete it or sell it to a third party.5
On a request made within 14 days after the Domain Name Terms end, Vercel uses commercially reasonable efforts to help transfer unexpired registrations to another registrar.5
- Continuing a shop, channel or listing
With another Owner on the team, that Owner can keep managing settings, billing and roles; Vercel blocks only the removal of the last remaining Owner.6
Under the Terms, a team's owner or administrator can manage a member's project on the team, including claiming control and ownership of it.1
