There are two sides to estate planning at Global CU: setting things up while you're alive, and the process survivors follow after a death.

Yes. Alaska USA Federal Credit Union merged with Global Credit Union (Spokane) in August 2022 and rebranded as Global Credit Union in April 2023. All existing POD beneficiary designations, joint ownership arrangements, and trust account titling carried over to the unified Global Credit Union. If you have not reviewed your beneficiary designations since the rebrand, contact Legacy Support at LegacySupport@globalcu.org or call 800-525-9094 to confirm what is currently on file and request updated forms if needed.
Contact the Member Service Center at 800-525-9094 or visit any branch to open a trust account. You will need a copy of the trust document (or Certificate of Trust) showing the trust name, establishing signatures, and trustee designations, along with a Social Security number or EIN for the trust and government-issued ID for each trustee. Trust accounts cannot be opened through the mobile app. Both revocable and irrevocable living trust accounts are available for savings, checking, money market, and certificate account types. IRAs cannot be titled to a trust during the owner's lifetime, but a trust can be named as the IRA beneficiary using a separate IRA beneficiary designation form.
