Bitstamp continues to operate as a separate US platform on its own infrastructure and regulatory licenses; it has not been folded into the Robinhood app. Estate/deceased-account inquiries for Bitstamp accounts start with Bitstamp support, which may route to Robinhood's Estates process. Customer Support (Estate Inquiries)
Bitstamp does not currently support beneficiary designations, transfer-on-death registrations, or trust account titling on any account type. All Bitstamp accounts pass through the estate at death and may require probate.
When an account holder dies, the executor or administrator will need to contact Bitstamp with a death certificate and legal authority documents to claim account balances. The process and required documents are covered on the death claim page.

Retitling Bitstamp accounts into a revocable living trust is one of the most effective ways to avoid probate. Once an account is owned by the trust, it passes to beneficiaries through the trust terms rather than through a court process. Bitstamp handles trust funding .

FastPass welcome program offers ultra-low fees for high-volume traders ($500K+ monthly). Ranked #2 in Kaiko Q1 2026 exchange ranking with fifth consecutive AA rating. OTC/RFQ Trading
Over-the-counter request-for-quote trading for large transactions between $100,000 and $2 million. Supports 15+ assets. Available to institutional and high-volume retail clients. No beneficiary designation available.
Bitstamp Earn - Staking
Custodial staking for Ethereum (ETH) and Cardano (ADA). Bitstamp charges a 15% commission on staking rewards. As of June 2026, indicative rates are around 3.1% APY for ETH (rewards distributed monthly) and around 1.0% APY for ADA (rewards distributed weekly); rates vary with network conditions. Bitstamp Earn Staking is available in the US except for residents of Alabama, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, and Nevada. ALGO staking was wound down globally as of April 2025. Lending products remain unavailable to US customers.
Bitstamp Earn - Lending
Crypto lending program allowing customers to lend digital assets and earn yield. Supports multiple assets including BTC, ETH, DOT, NEAR, SUI, and others. NOT available to US, UK, Japan, or Singapore residents. Availability depends on the Bitstamp entity the customer is onboarded with and jurisdiction of residence.
Corporate Account
Corporate accounts for businesses, funds, and institutional clients. Requires KYB verification including business registration certificates, shareholder information, and authorized signatory details. Supports multiple user logins with role-based permissions. Trust entities may qualify as corporate accounts; contact Bitstamp for eligibility.
