Preparing your Trumark accounts for estate transfer involves two key steps: designating beneficiaries on each account and, where appropriate, retitling accounts into a trust. Because Trumark is a membership-based institution, trust retitling must maintain the membership eligibility requirement. Accounts with Payable on Death designations or trust ownership bypass probate entirely.

Across 20 product types, Trumark accounts vary in how they transfer at death. The sections below walk through Payable on Death (POD) designations, trust funding options, and which products support each method.

1
Visit any Trumark branch
  • Visit any branch across the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania service area
  • Bring government-issued photo ID
  • Ask for the POD / beneficiary designation form for your account type
2
Complete and submit the form with a branch representative
  • List primary and contingent beneficiaries with the required identifying information
  • For a trust beneficiary, provide the trust name, date, and EIN
  • All account owners must sign; the representative processes the designation

Required Documents

  • Trust name, date established, and tax ID (EIN or SSN)

Special Requirements

  • POD / beneficiary designation is available on all deposit accounts (checking, savings, money market, and certificates)
  • IRA beneficiaries are designated at account opening and can be updated at any time by submitting a new beneficiary designation form
  • Each account must be updated individually; beneficiary designations do not automatically carry across accounts
  • All account owners must sign beneficiary designation forms
  • Beneficiary forms are not available for self-service download from trumark.com and must be requested by phone or in branch
