Quorum FCU offers 9 accounts, each with its own rules for what happens when a member dies. As a membership-based credit union, Quorum FCU membership is available nationwide: through a partner company (Select Employee Group), through a family or household relationship to a Quorum member or employee, or through the American Consumer Council, selectable at no cost during the online application. Members remain members for life. Quorum has no branches of its own; in-person transactions are available at over 5,000 Shared Service Centers nationwide, and the Probate Express estate account program opens estate accounts in every state. Headquarters: 2500 Westchester Avenue, Purchase, NY 10577. Some transfer automatically to a named beneficiary, others can be held in a trust, and a few may require probate if no plan is in place.
Quorum FCU handles beneficiary designations online. Accounts can also be retitled into a trust to keep them out of probate entirely.
