Frequently asked questions

They can be. Earn and staking balances sit inside the same custodial account and follow the same estate path — no beneficiary designation, court authority required — but they are not always immediately liquid: some positions are term-based or subject to a redemption or unstaking period. Ask the case analyst assigned to your request what is locked, what can be redeemed, and on what schedule, before you write the instruction letter telling OKX what to do with the account. Crypto prices move during the review, and the estate carries that movement, so decide deliberately whether to have assets transferred in kind or closed out.
