How your Clearview FCU accounts transfer at death depends on how each one is set up. As a membership-based credit union, Clearview FCU serves members through approximately 23 financial centers in southwestern Pennsylvania. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, or volunteers in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, or Westmoreland counties. Immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, or grandchild) of current or potential members are also eligible. Once joined, membership is for life regardless of relocation. Headquarters: 8836 University Blvd., Moon Township, PA 15108. With 23 account types, the transfer rules vary—getting the right designations in place now prevents delays and court involvement later.

Account holders can update their beneficiary designations at Clearview FCU in branch and by phone. Accounts can also be retitled into a trust to keep them out of probate entirely.

Clearview FCU has documented procedures for both preparing accounts during your lifetime and handling claims when an account holder passes away.
