Bellco is a credit union offering 17 accounts that interact with estate planning in different ways. As a membership-based credit union, Bellco serves members throughout Colorado with over 30 branch locations from the Front Range (Pueblo to Fort Collins/Timnath) to the Western Slope, including Colorado Springs (opened late 2025) and expanded Aurora and Parker locations (opened 2024). Corporate headquarters at 7600 E Orchard Rd, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Understanding how each account transfers at death—and which ones a trust can hold—helps families avoid probate delays and unintended outcomes.

Beneficiary changes at Bellco can be made in branch and by phone. Accounts can also be retitled into a trust to keep them out of probate entirely.

Bellco has documented procedures for both preparing accounts during your lifetime and handling claims when an account holder passes away.

Yes, for deposit accounts. Bellco can open or retitle Platinum Checking, Free Checking, Premier Money Market, and CD accounts under trust ownership at any branch. The grantor(s) and trustee(s) must qualify for Bellco membership. All trustees must sign the signature cards. Bring the full trust agreement, a signed and notarized Bellco Certification of Trust, government-issued photo ID for all trustees, and a trust EIN if applicable. IRAs and HSAs cannot be retitled to a trust under IRS rules; use beneficiary designations instead.
