Its contact page identifies it as a TurnCommerce corporation, and its About page describes a family-owned business with more than 6.3 million domains under management and partnerships with DropCatch.com and HugeDomains.com. NameBright offers domain registration, inbound and outbound transfers, WHOIS privacy protection, bulk portfolio management, and a "push" feature that moves a domain between two NameBright accounts without triggering the 60-day transfer lock. As of 2026 the registrar is migrating off legacy.namebright.com to the rebuilt namebright.com site and the help.namebright.com knowledge base.

What happens at death
NameBright does not publish an estate or bereavement policy. Its Terms & Conditions were read end to end on 2026-09-16 and contain no provision addressing death, a deceased registrant, an estate, an executor, or probate (positive controls on the same fetched text: "registrant" 38 occurrences, "domain" 295). The knowledge base at help.namebright.com likewise publishes no deceased-account article. An executor or heir therefore has to open a case with NameBright support and work out requirements with the representative handling it. What the Terms do address is the mechanics that follow: section 7 makes NameBright the registrant's Designated Agent for approving a Change of Registrant, and section 10 governs pushing a domain between NameBright accounts. Domains themselves are transferable, so the asset can move once authority is established. Until then, a domain keeps renewing only while auto-renew is on and a payment method on file still works.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. To transfer out, the domain has to be unlocked and an auth code obtained from the NameBright account, then the transfer is started at the gaining registrar. The auth code only becomes available once the mandatory 60-day lock has expired. Note also the Transfer-Out Security setting on the account: on High Security an outbound transfer is automatically declined after 4 days if nobody acts, while on Low Security it completes after 5 days without action.
