Tyndall FCU offers 13 accounts, each with its own rules for what happens when a member dies. As a membership-based credit union, Tyndall FCU 11 branch locations across the Florida Panhandle and Southern Alabama, including Panama City, Panama City Beach, Port St. Joe, Marianna, and Spanish Fort, AL. Membership eligibility: live, work, worship, or attend school in the following Florida counties: Bay, Gulf, Walton, Jackson, Leon, Okaloosa, Franklin, Calhoun, Holmes, or Washington; or Alabama counties: Houston, Baldwin, or Mobile. Also eligible: military personnel affiliated with Tyndall Air Force Base, employees of Select Employee Groups (SEGs), and immediate family or household members of existing members. Some transfer automatically to a named beneficiary, others can be held in a trust, and a few may require probate if no plan is in place.

Managing beneficiaries at Tyndall FCU is straightforward—changes can be made online, in branch, and by phone, typically taking 15-30 minutes in branch. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.

Membership is open to those who live, work, worship, or attend school in the following Florida counties: Bay, Gulf, Walton, Jackson, Leon, Okaloosa, Franklin, Calhoun, Holmes, or Washington; or Alabama counties: Houston, Baldwin, or Mobile. Active duty or retired military members affiliated with Tyndall Air Force Base are eligible. Employees of Select Employee Groups (SEGs) partnered with Tyndall also qualify. A $5 minimum deposit establishes membership.
