IRA beneficiaries are designated at account opening and can be updated at any time by submitting a new beneficiary designation form. Contact the Member Service Center at 866-568-6937 or visit any branch to request the form. Both individuals and trusts may be named as IRA beneficiaries. Tower offers Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, and IRA Certificate options.
Tower FCU supports trust-titled accounts on deposit products. Visit any branch with a complete trust document or Certificate of Trust, government-issued photo ID for all trustees, and the trust EIN from the IRS. A branch representative will either retitle an existing account into trust ownership or open a new trust-titled account. IRA accounts cannot be retitled into a trust, but a trust may be named as beneficiary. For investment accounts held through Tower Wealth Management (LPL Financial), contact the wealth management team separately.
