How your SCCU accounts transfer at death depends on how each one is set up. As a membership-based credit union, SCCU branch locations span Florida's east coast from Flagler to Miami-Dade counties (70 branch locations). Membership is open to relatives of current members and to all who work or live in Alachua, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Duval, Flagler, Hernando, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Nassau, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, or Volusia Counties in Florida. Membership requires a Share Savings (Regular Savings) account with a $5 minimum opening deposit. With 15 account types, the transfer rules vary—getting the right designations in place now prevents delays and court involvement later.
