Republic Bank offers 15 consumer accounts that interact with estate planning in distinct ways. Of those, 12 can name a trust as beneficiary or be retitled into a trust. Understanding the transfer methods available for each account type helps families keep assets out of probate and ensure they pass to the right people.
Managing beneficiaries at Republic Bank is straightforward—changes can be made in branch, by mail, and by phone, typically taking 15-30 minutes (in-branch or by phone). Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.
There are two sides to estate planning at Republic Bank: setting things up while you're alive, and the process survivors follow after a death.

No. Despite the "& Trust Company" in its legal name, Republic's Deposit Account Rules state that the deposit relationship "is that of debtor and creditor" and that it does "not create a fiduciary, quasi-fiduciary or special relationship between us regardless of how you title your Account, or whether you yourself act in a fiduciary or similar capacity with respect to funds deposited with us." Republic also does not publish a consumer trust-administration or wealth-management department; its Private & Professional Banking team handles high-balance deposit, lending, and treasury needs, not trust administration. If you need a corporate trustee, that is a separate engagement Republic does not advertise.
