Estate planning and settlement at Logix

Logix offers 23 accounts, each with its own rules for what happens when a member dies. As a membership-based credit union, Logix the become-a-member page states Logix offers new accounts to residents of AZ, CA, MA, MD, ME, NH, NV, and VA. The branch network is Southern California only. The contact page states "Serving You with 18 Local Branches" and enumerates them: Bouquet Canyon, Bridgeport and Golden Valley (Santa Clarita), Burbank, Calabasas, Chatsworth, Newbury Park, Palmdale, Pasadena, Porter Ranch, Simi Valley Cochran, Simi Valley Tapo Canyon, Stevenson Ranch, Tarzana, Thousand Oaks, Toluca Lake, Westlake Village, and Woodland Hills. The branch index at https://www.logixbanking.com/branches lists those 18 plus a virtual branch, and the become-a-member page describes the set as "19 Southern California branch locations." Logix publishes county landing pages for two counties only, Los Angeles and Ventura; there is no Kern County page. Membership eligibility covers employees and retirees of Logix sponsor companies, groups and associations, family members of a current member by blood, marriage, or shared residence, or qualifying by joining the American Consumer Council or the Moorpark College Friends of the Foundation at no cost. Once a member, membership does not expire. Members also have access to more than 30,000 fee-free CO-OP ATMs. Some transfer automatically to a named beneficiary, others can be held in a trust, and a few may require probate if no plan is in place.

Logix lets account holders update beneficiary designations in branch, by phone, and by mail. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.
