Logix offers 19 accounts, each with its own rules for what happens when a member dies. As a membership-based credit union, Logix accepts new accounts from residents of AZ, CA, MA, MD, ME, NH, NV, VA. 19 branches in Southern California (Los Angeles, Ventura, and Kern counties). Membership also available through American Consumer Council (no cost) or Moorpark College Friends of the Foundation. Once you become a member, membership never expires. Some transfer automatically to a named beneficiary, others can be held in a trust, and a few may require probate if no plan is in place.
At Logix, beneficiary designations are managed in branch, by mail, and by phone. Accounts can also be retitled into a trust to keep them out of probate entirely.
Logix has documented procedures for both preparing accounts during your lifetime and handling claims when an account holder passes away.
