Frequently asked questions

Round Up Checking automatically rounds each debit card purchase to the nearest dollar and deposits the difference into your primary share savings account. Each month your round-ups receive a 10% bonus from Greylock. The account requires a $15 initial deposit and a $5 minimum balance. Includes a free VISA debit card with EMV chip, real-time fraud alerts, and digital banking access.

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school, worships, or regularly conducts business in Berkshire County, MA; the towns of Westfield, Southwick, Granville, Montgomery, and Russell, MA; Bennington County, VT; or Columbia County, NY. Employees of partner employers (including a historical connection to General Electric/General Dynamics) and immediate family of current members are also eligible. Eligibility can be confirmed via the online quiz at membercheck.greylock.org. A $5 minimum deposit in a Primary Share account establishes membership.

Greylock offers four Visa credit cards: the Low Rate Card (no rewards), the Rewards Card (3x gas, 2x restaurants/groceries, 1x everything else), the Signature Rewards Card (1.5x all purchases, no foreign transaction fees), and the Secured Card ($250 minimum deposit for credit building). All cards have no annual fee and offer 0% introductory APR for 12 months on purchases and balance transfers (except Secured Card).

Greylock FCU has branches in Berkshire County, MA (Adams, Allendale/Pittsfield, Berkshire Medical Center, Elm Street/Pittsfield, General Dynamics, Great Barrington, Kellogg Street/Pittsfield, Lanesborough, Lee, Lenox, North Adams, West Street/Pittsfield, Williamstown) and one in Greenport/Hudson, NY. Greylock FCU accepts trust-titled accounts for checking, savings, money market, and certificate products. Bring a full trust agreement or Certificate of Trust, government-issued photo ID for all trustees, and the trust EIN or SSN for revocable trusts. At least one trustee must be eligible for Greylock FCU membership. Existing accounts may need to be closed and reopened in the trust name. IRA accounts cannot be retitled to a trust but can name a trust as beneficiary. Visit any branch or call 413-236-4000 to begin.

Term Share Certificates, Wealth Builders Certificates, and Promotional Share Certificates all require a $500 minimum deposit. IRA Term Share Certificates also require a $500 minimum deposit. Certificate terms range from 6 months to 5 years. Early withdrawal penalties apply.

No. Greylock FCU does not charge monthly service fees or annual trustee fees on Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, Rollover IRA, or Coverdell Education Savings Accounts.
