Following the 2026 Franklin First Federal Credit Union merger into Greylock's charter, a Franklin First-branded branch and two remote ATMs continue to serve Greenfield (Franklin County, MA). Membership is open to people who live, work, attend school, worship, or regularly conduct business in Berkshire County, MA; the towns of Westfield, Southwick, Granville, Montgomery, and Russell, MA; Bennington County, VT; or Columbia County, NY, and to employees of partner employers and immediate family of current members. Membership is established with a $5 deposit in a Primary Share account (a check or cash for at least $5, or $20 when opening a Primary Share and a Checking account together) -- per https://www.greylock.org/go-greylock/credit-union-membership/who-can-join.html. With 16 account types, the transfer rules vary—getting the right designations in place now prevents delays and court involvement later.
Greylock FCU handles beneficiary designations in branch, by mail, and by phone. Accounts can also be retitled into a trust to keep them out of probate entirely.
