How your Greylock FCU accounts transfer at death depends on how each one is set up. As a membership-based credit union, Greylock FCU headquartered at 150 West St, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Branches in Adams, Allendale/Pittsfield, Berkshire Medical Center, Elm Street/Pittsfield, General Dynamics, Great Barrington, Kellogg Street/Pittsfield, Lanesborough, Lee, Lenox, North Adams, West Street/Pittsfield, and Williamstown (all Berkshire County, MA), plus Greenport/Hudson, NY (https://www.greylock.org/locations-and-atms.html). Following the 2026 Franklin First Federal Credit Union merger into Greylock's charter, a Franklin First-branded branch and two remote ATMs continue to serve Greenfield (Franklin County, MA). Membership is open to people who live, work, attend school, worship, or regularly conduct business in Berkshire County, MA; the towns of Westfield, Southwick, Granville, Montgomery, and Russell, MA; Bennington County, VT; or Columbia County, NY, and to employees of partner employers and immediate family of current members. Membership eligibility quiz: https://membercheck.greylock.org. Membership is established with a $5 deposit in a Primary Share account (a check or cash for at least $5, or $20 when opening a Primary Share and a Checking account together) -- per https://www.greylock.org/go-greylock/credit-union-membership/who-can-join.html. With 16 account types, the transfer rules vary—getting the right designations in place now prevents delays and court involvement later.

Greylock FCU handles beneficiary designations in branch, by mail, and by phone. Accounts can also be retitled into a trust to keep them out of probate entirely.

Greylock FCU has documented procedures for both preparing accounts during your lifetime and handling claims when an account holder passes away.

Greylock FCU operates in select states, so estate planning procedures may vary by location. Confirm availability in your state before initiating trust funding or account changes.
