Estate planning at Greylock FCU means getting each account set up so it transfers automatically when you die—either through a POD beneficiary or trust ownership. Because Greylock FCU is a membership-based institution, trust retitling must maintain the membership eligibility requirement. Without one of these in place, accounts may require probate before your family can access the funds.

Visit any Greylock FCU branch with government-issued photo ID.

Request a Payable on Death (POD) beneficiary designation form.

Complete the form with beneficiary details:
  • Full name, date of birth, Social Security number, and relationship for each beneficiary
  • Designate primary and contingent beneficiaries
  • Specify percentage allocation if naming multiple beneficiaries

Sign and submit the completed form.

Required Documents

  • Trust name, date established, and tax ID (EIN or SSN)

Special Requirements

  • POD designations available for checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts
  • POD designations do not apply to IRA accounts; IRAs use a separate beneficiary designation
  • A trust can be named as a POD beneficiary on deposit accounts
  • Multiple beneficiaries permitted with customizable percentage allocations
  • Review recommended after marriage, divorce, birth, or death of a beneficiary
  • A will or trust does not override the beneficiary designation form on file with Greylock FCU
