Beneficiary designations at Global CU can be managed in branch, by mail, and by phone, typically taking 15-30 minutes. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.

Yes. A trust can be named as a POD beneficiary on deposit accounts (checking, savings, money market, and certificates). You will need the full legal name of the trust and its tax identification number. Alternatively, you can retitle accounts directly into the name of the trust by providing trust documentation to the credit union.
Visit any branch or call 800-525-9094. Provide trust document pages showing the trust name, establishing signatures, and trustee designations, along with the trust's SSN or EIN and government-issued ID for each trustee. Both revocable and irrevocable trust accounts are available for savings, checking, money market, and certificate account types.
IRA beneficiary designations use a separate form from POD designations on deposit accounts. Contact the Member Service Center at 800-525-9094 or visit any branch to complete an IRA beneficiary designation form. A trust can be named as the IRA beneficiary, but IRAs cannot be retitled into a trust.
Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Alaska, Washington, Arizona (Maricopa County), Idaho (Kootenai County), or California (San Bernardino County). Department of Defense employees worldwide and immediate family members of current members are also eligible. A $5 membership fee is required.
Yes. Global Credit Union offers IRA Certificate accounts with a $500 minimum deposit and terms ranging from 30 days to 60 months. The APY is fixed until maturity. Existing IRAs from other institutions can be rolled over into a Global IRA Certificate without withdrawal penalties. IRA accounts are separately insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA.
