Atlantic FCU offers 14 accounts, each with its own rules for what happens when a member dies. As a membership-based credit union, Atlantic FCU headquartered in Biddeford, ME. 11 branches in Biddeford, Brunswick, Cumberland, Freeport, Saco, Sanford, South Sanford, Scarborough, Topsham, Westbrook, and York. Membership open to those who live, work, worship, or attend school in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, or York County in Maine. Access to 230+ SURF surcharge-free ATMs in Maine and 5,000+ shared branches nationwide through the CO-OP network. Atlantic FCU lets account holders update beneficiary designations in branch, by mail, and by phone, typically taking 15-30 minutes in branch. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.

Kasasa Cash earns high dividends (up to 5.00% APY Premier or 2.50% APY Standard) on balances up to $15,000 when monthly qualifications are met. Kasasa Cash Back earns 2.50% cash back on up to $250 in monthly debit card purchases (up to $75 annually). Both require at least 1 direct deposit/ACH/Bill Pay transaction, eStatement enrollment, and 12+ debit card purchases per month to qualify. Both have no monthly fees and ATM fee refunds up to $25/month.

Membership is open to individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, or York County in Maine. Services are provided through LPL Financial (Member FINRA/SIPC) and Northeast Planning Associates, Inc. Investment products are not NCUA insured and may lose value. Yes. Atlantic FCU offers trust accounts for deposit products including checking, savings, money market, and share certificates. Visit any of the 11 branch locations with your trust agreement or certification of trust, government-issued photo ID for all trustees, and the trust tax identification number (SSN or EIN). Existing accounts can be retitled into the trust name, or new trust accounts can be opened. IRA and HSA accounts cannot be retitled to a trust but can name a trust as beneficiary on IRA accounts.

Atlantic FCU offers share certificates with terms from 3 months to 5 years. The 3-month term requires a $100 minimum deposit; all other terms require $500. The 18-month Rippling Waves certificate allows supplemental deposits ($500 minimum). The 5-year Step-Up certificate includes a one-time rate increase option. Certificates renew automatically after a 10-calendar-day grace period at maturity. Early withdrawal penalties apply and vary depending on the certificate rate and time of withdrawal.

Atlantic FCU offers Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, and Coverdell Education Savings Account (ESA). IRAs are available as IRA savings accounts with tiered rates (0.05% to 0.50% APY) or as IRA certificates with terms from 6 months to 5 years including a Step-Up option on the 5-year term. No minimum deposit and no setup or maintenance fees. Beneficiaries are designated via a separate IRA Beneficiary Designation form.
