Affinity Federal offers 14 accounts, each with its own rules for what happens when a member dies. As a membership-based credit union, Affinity Federal headquartered in Basking Ridge, NJ with branches across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Yes. Affinity provides estate planning tools through a partnership with LegalKarma, accessible via Online Banking at estateplanning.affinityfcu.com. Available packages include a Will Package ($299 single / $349 couple) and a Living Trust Package ($699 single / $899 joint). Documents include Revocable Trusts, Pour-over Wills, Last Wills, Powers of Attorney, Medical Powers of Attorney, HIPAA Authorizations, Living Wills, and Certifications of Trust. Documents are delivered within 3-5 business days. Complimentary consultation available. Additionally, Affinity Investment Services (through LPL Financial) offers retirement planning, estate planning, and wealth management advisory services.

Funding a revocable trust is the process of transferring assets from your individual name into the trust's name. At Affinity, this means retitling checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts into the trust name. You remain the trustee with full control of the accounts. This step ensures the trust works as designed and that assets avoid probate. Visit any Affinity branch with your trust agreement or certification of trust to retitle accounts.

Log in to Affinity Online Banking, go to the Self-Service tab, click on Request Center, then select Account Owners & Beneficiaries. Click +Add an Owner/Beneficiary to complete the beneficiary application. You will need the beneficiary's full name, date of birth, Social Security number, and relationship. Make sure third-party cookies and pop-ups are allowed in your browser when accessing the Request Center. You can also add beneficiaries by visiting any Affinity branch or calling 800-325-0808.

Additionally, the High-Yield Checking and Cash Back Plus Checking accounts offer ATM fee refunds up to $25 per month when monthly qualification requirements are met.
