Yes. Talcott Resolution was The Hartford's run-off life and annuity business, whose writing companies were Hartford Life Insurance Company and Hartford Life and Annuity Insurance Company. An investor group completed its acquisition of Talcott Resolution from The Hartford on May 31, 2018, and Sixth Street acquired it in 2021. The 2018 notice to annuity owners stated that the terms, features and benefits of the contracts would not change as a result of the sale. Talcott also administers legacy annuities issued by Union Security Insurance Company and Union Security Life Insurance Company of New York, Guardian annuity contracts, Pathways contracts, and structured settlements and pensions, and it is the contact for policies issued by Abbey Life Insurance Company of Canada. Talcott Resolution operates today within Talcott Financial Group.
