Yes. Hartford Life Insurance Company sold its life insurance and annuity business to Talcott Resolution in 2018, and Talcott Resolution now administers those legacy contracts. Your policy terms, coverage, and benefits are unchanged -- the issuer changed, not the contract. Talcott services several other run-off blocks under the same roof, so an executor may also see Talcott letterhead on policies originally issued by Union Security Insurance Company, John Alden Life Insurance Company, or Abbey Life Insurance Company of Canada, along with Guardian contracts, Pathways contracts, and structured settlements. Talcott Resolution operates today as the legacy-servicing arm of Talcott Financial Group, which partners with the investment firm Sixth Street.
