Old National offers 16 consumer accounts that interact with estate planning in distinct ways. Of those, 14 can name a trust as beneficiary or be retitled into a trust. Understanding the transfer methods available for each account type helps families keep assets out of probate and ensure they pass to the right people.
Beneficiary designations at Old National can be managed in branch and by phone, typically taking 15-30 minutes in branch. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.
Old National provides specific procedures for both proactive estate planning and filing claims after a death.

Yes. Trusts can be named as POD beneficiaries on Old National deposit accounts including checking, savings, CDs, and money market accounts. You will need to provide the trust name, date established, and EIN. For IRA accounts, a trust can be named as the beneficiary through a beneficiary designation form, though there may be tax implications.
Trust accounts can only be opened at an Old National banking center (not online). Bring your complete trust document or Certificate of Trust, government-issued photo ID for all trustees, and the trust tax identification number (EIN or SSN). A revocable living trust typically does not need its own tax ID during the grantor's lifetime. For wealth management trust services, contact Old National Wealth Management or the 1834 division.
No. IRA accounts (Traditional and Roth) cannot be titled to a trust. However, you can name your trust as the beneficiary of your IRA through a beneficiary designation. Consult a tax advisor before naming a trust as IRA beneficiary, as there are significant tax implications under the SECURE Act distribution rules.
