Mazda Financial is a auto finance company, so the estate planning question is about a debt, not an asset. When the borrower dies, the estate must notify Mazda Financial and resolve the outstanding balance—through payoff, assumption, discharge, or surrender depending on the loan—rather than name a beneficiary.
Mazda Financial has documented procedures for both preparing accounts during your lifetime and handling claims when an account holder passes away.

Not for servicing. Per Mazda's own financing site, the Mazda brand and logos are licensed to Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (TMCC), and TMCC operates and services the entire Mazda Financial Services program: "TMCC is the servicer for accounts owned by TMCC, M1F, TLT, M1LT, and their respective securitization affiliates." Retail loans may be owned by TMCC or Toyota Financial Savings Bank d/b/a MobilityOne Financial (M1F); leases may be owned by Toyota Lease Trust or MobilityOne Lease Trust. Mazda states it "is not affiliated with TMCC, M1F, TLT, M1LT, or their affiliates." For an executor, that means the account behaves like a Toyota Financial Services account, reached on the Mazda-branded line at 1-866-693-2332.
Regular-mail payoff funds go to Mazda Financial Services, P.O. Box 74689, Chicago, IL 60675-4689. Overnight or certified funds go to Mazda Financial Services, 6400 Main Street, Suite 200, Williamsville, NY 14221. Request the exact payoff amount from the Customer Service Team at 1-866-693-2332 first, and include the account number so the payment is applied correctly. Enclose written authorization if the title or lien release should be sent to anyone other than the address on file. Once the balance is satisfied, MFS releases its lien and the title so the vehicle can be retitled or sold.
