How to report a death to Experian and request the deceased person's credit report
Experian is a credit bureau — it holds the deceased person's credit file, not their money. There is no balance to claim and nothing owed: the executor notifies Experian of the death so the file carries a deceased marker, and can request a copy of the credit report to find the accounts and debts the estate has to settle.
