Operated as TIAA Bank (TIAA, FSB) from 2018 to 2023. TIAA completed the sale of the bank to an investor group led by Stone Point Capital and Warburg Pincus on July 31, 2023; the bank reverted to the EverBank name and now operates under a national bank charter as EverBank, N.A. This is the current active record. Effective August 2023.

How your EverBank accounts transfer at death depends on how each one is titled and whether a beneficiary is on file. Of those, 10 can name a trust as beneficiary or be retitled into a trust. Getting these details right keeps assets out of probate and ensures they reach the intended recipients.
EverBank lets account holders update beneficiary designations online, by mail, and by phone, typically taking a few minutes online; same day to upload the paper form via the Document Center. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.
EverBank has documented procedures for both preparing accounts during your lifetime and handling claims when an account holder passes away.

Call 1-888-882-3837 -- EverBank does not allow trust, fiduciary, or estate accounts to be opened online. Complete the Trustee Certification form (https://assets.contentstack.io/v3/assets/blt12844f397ad182a6/bltaff68e1742733abb/6a43da484d9e8e3df9c032f2/trust-certification.pdf), which asks for the trust title and date, whether the trust is revocable or irrevocable, and a tax ID (SSN for a revocable trust, or a TIN), then upload it with your trust documentation through the Document Center. For an irrevocable trust, the Deposit Account Agreement (3.1.10.6) requires a copy of the written trust agreement in addition to the certification. The form also carries a beneficiary-eligibility certification: EverBank cannot provide an interest-bearing demand deposit account to a trust whose beneficiaries include a for-profit organization, a credit union or other mutual depository, a mutual insurance company, a crop-financing organization or farmers' cooperative, or an organization that is part of a qualified group legal services plan. Note the deposit POD form cannot be used for a trust account -- holding an account in trust is a titling change, not a POD designation.
