Yes. Commerce Bank deposit accounts are FDIC insured. POD beneficiaries receive separate FDIC insurance coverage of up to $250,000 per beneficiary. Trust accounts are also FDIC insured up to the maximum allowed by law, based on the number of qualifying beneficiaries under the trust.

You need a Certification of Trust (or the relevant pages of your trust agreement identifying the trust name, date, grantors, trustees, and trustee powers), government-issued photo ID for all trustees, and the trust tax identification number (EIN) or grantor SSN for revocable trusts. Bring any amendments to the original trust agreement. Visit a Commerce Bank branch to complete the application.

Early Pay is available on Commerce Interest Checking and CommerceRelationship Checking. Commerce Free Checking does not include Early Pay. Once you set up a qualifying recurring direct deposit, Commerce Bank provides access to your direct deposit funds up to two days early. The Neighborhood Connection home loan program provides up to 100% loan-to-value financing for borrowers purchasing a primary residence in low- and moderate-income census tracts in the Charleston, Denver, Ft. Myers, Houston, Kansas City, Naples, Palm Beach, Scottsdale, St. Louis, Tulsa, and Wichita areas. Eligible borrowers receive a $5,000 grant toward closing costs and down payment. Application income must be at or below 80% of FFIEC Median Family Income. A minimum FICO score of 580 is required for 97% LTV and 620 for 100% LTV. Homebuyer education through a HUD-approved agency is required.

No. IRA accounts (Traditional and Roth) cannot be retitled to a trust. However, you can name a trust as the beneficiary of your IRA. For IRA beneficiary changes, contact Commerce Financial Advisors or visit a branch. Deposit accounts such as checking, savings, money market, and CDs can be retitled to a revocable living trust by visiting a branch with trust documentation and trustee identification.
