The transfer rules at Apple vary across 4 accounts. Below is a breakdown of beneficiary options, trust funding, and which products support each method.
- Open Apple Wallet on iPhone (iOS 17.4 or later required)
- Tap Apple Card, then tap the Savings account
- Tap the More button (three-dot icon) at top right
- Tap Account Details
- Scroll down and tap Account Information
- Tap Manage Beneficiaries
Special Requirements
- Requires iOS 17.4 or later for in-app beneficiary management
- Beneficiaries must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents
- Trusts and legal entities cannot be named as beneficiaries
- Maximum of six beneficiaries, distributed in equal shares only
- Custom allocation percentages are not available
- Apple Card (credit card) does not support beneficiary designations
- Apple Cash (serviced by Green Dot Bank) does not support beneficiary designations
