Yes. A trust can be named as POD beneficiary on Renasant deposit accounts. You will need to provide the full legal name of the trust, the date the trust was established, and the trust tax identification number. Yes. Renasant Bank accepts both revocable and irrevocable trust accounts for checking, savings, money market, and CD accounts. Visit any branch with your Certification of Trust or full trust agreement, trustee IDs, and the trust tax identification number. Existing personal accounts can also be retitled to a trust. IRA accounts cannot be retitled to a trust but can name a trust as beneficiary.

Yes. Renasant Bank is an FDIC-insured institution. POD beneficiaries receive separate FDIC insurance coverage of up to $250,000 per beneficiary per depositor. Trust accounts are also FDIC insured based on the number of qualifying beneficiaries, up to the maximum allowed by FDIC rules.
Renasant Bank allows you to designate primary and contingent beneficiaries on Traditional, Roth, Rollover, SEP, SIMPLE, and Spousal IRA accounts. Beneficiaries can include individuals, trusts, charities, or estates. A trust named as IRA beneficiary requires the full legal trust name, date, and tax identification number. In community property states, spousal consent may be required when naming a non-spouse beneficiary.
