Red Rocks CU is a credit union offering 14 accounts that interact with estate planning in different ways. As a membership-based credit union, Red Rocks CU membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Colorado. Headquartered at 8195 SouthPark Lane, Littleton, CO 80120. Two branch locations: Red Rocks Town Center branch at 9332 Dorchester St., Highlands Ranch, CO 80129, and Red Rocks Waterton branch (accessible to Lockheed Martin employees only). Members also have access to nationwide CO-OP shared branching and over 30,000 surcharge-free CO-OP ATMs. Understanding how each account transfers at death—and which ones a trust can hold—helps families avoid probate delays and unintended outcomes.

Red Rocks CU handles beneficiary designations in branch and by phone. Accounts can also be retitled into a trust to keep them out of probate entirely.

There are two sides to estate planning at Red Rocks CU: setting things up while you're alive, and the process survivors follow after a death.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Red Rocks Credit Union accepts trust accounts for deposit products including checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts. Visit the Town Center branch in Highlands Ranch with your Certification of Trust (or full trust agreement), trustee identification, and the trust Tax Identification Number. The credit union's Account Agreement requires every trust account to name a beneficiary, and the settlor must be a Red Rocks member. Existing accounts can also be retitled to a trust without closing them, but trust account setup requires an in-branch visit.
