Nusenda Investment Services provides estate planning coordination and can assist you by working with your legal and/or tax professional to develop an estate plan. Nusenda identifies five key estate planning documents: durable power of attorney, advance medical directives, a will, a letter of instruction, and a living trust. Investment representatives through LPL Financial can advise on beneficiary designations, trust structuring, and asset distribution. Non-deposit investment products are offered through LPL Financial, a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer (Member FINRA/SIPC). Complimentary no-obligation consultations are available.
Yes. Visit any Nusenda branch with your trust document (or Certificate of Trust), government-issued photo ID for all trustees, and the trust EIN or SSN. You will need to complete new account paperwork in the trust name. Existing accounts may need to be closed and reopened under the trust title. IRA accounts cannot be retitled to a trust but can name a trust as beneficiary.
IRA accounts cannot be retitled to a trust. However, you may be able to name a trust as the beneficiary of your IRA. Consult a tax advisor before doing so, as naming a trust as IRA beneficiary can have significant tax implications for distribution timelines and required minimum distributions.
