EMC Life offers 13 insurance products that play a central role in estate planning. Because policy proceeds pass directly to named beneficiaries—bypassing probate entirely—keeping designations current is one of the highest-impact steps policyholders can take.

Beneficiary designations at EMC Life can be managed online, by mail, and by phone, typically taking 10-15 minutes online; 2-4 weeks by mail. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to name a trust as the policy beneficiary or establish an irrevocable life insurance trust (ILIT).

You can update beneficiaries through the Policyowner portal at emcnationallife.com/POSite/, by calling 800-232-5818 (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CT), or by requesting a beneficiary change form and submitting it by mail to EMC National Life Company, P.O. Box 9202, Des Moines, IA 50306. You will need to provide each beneficiary's full legal name, date of birth, relationship, and percentage allocation. Percentage allocations must total 100% for each beneficiary tier.
