How your Abound CU accounts transfer at death depends on how each one is set up. Managing beneficiaries at Abound CU is straightforward—changes can be made in branch and by phone, typically taking 15-30 minutes in branch. Trust funding is also available, allowing families to retitle accounts into the name of a revocable living trust.

Existing checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts can be retitled into the trust name. IRA accounts cannot be retitled to a trust. Yes. Abound's High-Yield Savings Account offers 4.25% APY on balances up to $5,000, with blended tiered rates on higher balances. No minimum opening deposit is required. Dividends are compounded monthly. Limit of one High-Yield Savings Account per primary member Social Security Number. Rates are variable and subject to change.

Abound offers standard certificate terms of 3, 12, 24, 36, 48, and 59 months, plus promotional specials including 6-month, 13-month, and 18-month terms. All certificates require a $500 minimum deposit. Dividends are compounded monthly. Early withdrawal penalties apply and vary by term length. Certificates can be opened through online/mobile banking, by phone at 800.285.5669, or at any branch.
