How does the Uniform Trust Code affect my trust if I move to another state?

The Uniform Trust Code creates consistent trust laws across adopting states, making it easier to move with your trust intact. If both your current state and new state have adopted the UTC, your trust provisions will generally be interpreted similarly. However, some states modify the UTC when adopting it, so differences can still exist. Non-UTC states may have significantly different trust laws that could affect administration, beneficiary rights, or trustee duties.
